Hello all!
Welcome to Feature and Follow,

Q: Have you ever convinced someone to read a book, a series,
or a whole genre? What book(s) and who was it? Did they like it?
A: I gave my friend Jen, who was actually one of my University professors,
a copy of Stardust by Neil Gaiman. She adored it and has read several more
of his books to date! I also suggested The Hunger Games to my
favorite local Sonic car hop and she thanked me for weeks after reading it.
Of course, I've suggested books that people didn't like...
Especially when I went through my Chuck Palahniuk "phase".
He wrote Fight Club.
I broke the first rule.
I talked about Fight Club.
LOL
Let's just say he is an acquired taste.
What about you?
Best/worst experiences with book recommendations?

Our book club encourages reading just about EVERYTHING! We vote on monthly group reads to discuss. Sometimes we hate 'em; sometimes we love 'em. The most important thing is to have fun, right?
ReplyDeleteI've never read anything by Gaiman or Palahniuk that I didn't like!
I haven't read those. I'll have to check them out. I'm an existing follower on Bloglovin'.

I read American Gods, but not Stardust. I've got it on my TBR list though.
ReplyDeleteExisting follower, but I'm grabbing your button.
I just downloaded 'Stardust' and I can't wait to get started on it! My sister has become a massive Hunger Games fan, although I haven't read it myself. I'm a new GFC and Bloglovin' follower! Thanks for sharing :) I hope you had a great weekend!
