The Earth Dwellers will cap off an eighteen month journey that has taken me from unknown Indie author to still-mostly-unknown fulltime Indie author. The change is a subtle one for most people, but for me it’s a dream come true. To the hundreds (and now maybe even thousands!) of readers who have come along for the ride with me, either by reading the Dwellers Saga, the Country Saga, or both, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Now down to business. There may be some of you who have only read the three books in the Country Saga or only the three books in the Dwellers Saga, and are now thinking you’ll read The Earth Dwellers, which is supposedly the 4th book in BOTH the Country Saga and the Dwellers Saga. Well, that’s awesome! However, I must highly recommend that before reading The Earth Dwellers that you read the three books in BOTH series. I absolutely loved this book. I was looking forward to it so much and it surpassed my expectations! First of all, I have to say how much I think the author, David Estes, is an absolute genius. Taking two series and melding this book into being an ending for both The Dwellers and The Country Saga just catapulted David to the top of my favorite authors list. Every single time I get my hands on a book by Estes I just KNOW it is going to be excellent. Not once has Estes had a literary misstep in my opinion because both the Dwellers and The Country Saga are just flawless!

So, in The Earth Dwellers, basically Borg Lecter is the new bad guy that has to go down in flames. Lector is "leader" of the Glassies. The Glassies are those that live on the surface of the Earth in giant climate controlled glass domes. To Lecter, everyone outside of their dome is a "savage" that must be destroyed. So, now you know the bad guy.

The good guys are all amazing characters. So amazing that it would take me forever to explain how much I love them all and what their purpose is in the story. Plus, that's why you are going to read the book! To find out all about these amazing characters!

I have been lucky enough to read and review every book in both The Dwellers and The Country Saga. I really recommend you start with The Dwellers 3 books: The Moon Dwellers, The Star Dwellers and The Sun Dwellers and then move on to the Country Saga: Fire Country, Ice Country and Water and Storm Country before you read The Earth Dwellers. It just makes it a much better experience.

Overall, The Earth Dwellers was everything you could want in a book! It had elements of surprise and a boldness that will make the story stick in your mind forever. Way to go David!

REVIEW:

David Estes has done it again. Another brilliant novel of his, The Sun Dwellers, has just rocked my world. The Sun Dwellers is the 3rd installment in The Dwellers series. I thought it was the end, but now I am pretty sure there will be another one called The Earth Dwellers in Nov 2013. Arrg. So far away!

It is so hard for me to write series reviews because I don't want to give anything important away to the reader. I hate having a book spoiled for me and don't want to do it to anyone else! So, let me just say that some horrible events from Book 2 have pushed Adele a little over the edge. She is on a mission to kill President Nailan. Believing that only when he is dead will there be peace in the Tri-Realms. Also, Adele is driven mostly by revenge and that is a pretty tough monster to break. I think I might have mentioned this in my reviews for The Moon Dwellers and The Star Dwellers, but Adele is bad ass. I really love her character.

Speaking of characters, Tristan, Roc and Tawni really came into their own. In The Sun Dwellers they have no choice but to become the best and sometimes worst of themselves. Of course, the world building was spot on. The plot flawless. 

Ok, you get the point. I really loved this book and HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE WHOLE SERIES!
