I can't believe it is finally here!

Thinks Books has been kicking now since Jan 25, 2012.

Two whole years. Wow!

I think that is my longest attention span accomplishment to date!

Ha.

So, my second year was just as awesome (if not more so) than my first year. I have met even more amazing people, bloggers and authors, that are so creative and inspiring. Like I said last year, book people are the best people! 

As of right now, I have almost 600 GFC followers, about 130 ish Networked Blogs and Linky followers and around 150 Email followers! You can also find me on Twitter @ThinksBooks with over 700 followers and on Facebook at Thinks.Books.Official with over 800 likes!

Hello all!

Welcome to my First Blogiversary!

Thanks for being here with me.

My first year in blogging has been such an amazing experience. I have learned so much and met so many great people that love books like me. The whole community has been kind and accepting and I truly appreciate all of you and every bit of feedback I get from you. I love interacting with people and book people are the best people!

When I first started blogging I thought it would just be a fun way to organize and catalog my books. Then I realized I really loved creating things for my blog not only for me, but for other people too.  I have gone from Zero to almost 400 GFC followers  since January 25, 2012. That is amazing to me. On my blog, Thinks Books, I have 61 Linky followers, 40 E-mail subscribers and 52 Networked Blogs followers.You can find me on Twitter @ThinkAThought, where I have 400+ followers. I am also on Facebook at Thinks.Books.Official and I have 238 likes. 

I wanted to celebrate my year by going back

January 2012

My very first post was January 25, 2012. 

It was a review of Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare .

February 2012

I reviewed Divergent by Veronica Roth. Totally amaze-balls!

My First Awards!

March 2012

I started volunteering at the library. During some downtime, I picked up The Iron King by Julie Kagawa and immediately fell in love with The Iron Fey series. I also read Cinder by Marissa Meyer that month and it was amazing too. 

April 2012
Best Book of April 2012 I read: Ready Player One by Ernest Cline 

May 2012
I reviewed Insurgent by Veronica Roth. Equally as amaze-balls as Divergent! But the rest of the books I reviewed that month didn't do very well for me.

June 2012
I participated in my first Book Tour. It was for Pandora's Key by Nancy Richardson Fischer.

July 2012
I created a weekly meme, Think Out Loud. I premiered with a piece entitled "Perfume."
My favorite Think Out Loud to date was Think Out Loud #6, posted August 19, 2012 entitled Neil Gaiman.

August 2012
I participated in the Stop E-Piracy Blog Tour. My post featured a Pro Piracy article from the controversial Michael Cargill.
Also participated in the launch of Pledged (Soul Wars Saga #1) by Gwynneth White. I posted 5 posts in total for this tour and boy was it worth it! For participating, I was entered into a drawing to win a Kindle Fire. I WON! I could not believe it but it was completely true and I love it! Thanks Swallow Press and Gwynneth!

I received the One Lovely Blogger Award!

October 2012
Another great Think Out Loud #14 (Oct 14, 2012) - Hot Neville is born. 
I reviewed Every Day by David Levithan. I still need help with that ending!

November 2012
I signed up for my first 2013 Challenge! The 2013 Genre Variety Challenge.
I discovered Netgalley. My first approved book was Rape Girl by Alina Klein.

December 2012
Best Book of December that I reviewed: Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloane.
Also, Think Out Loud turned 25 on Dec 31, 2012. 

January 2013 
The first post of 2013 was called Retrospect: 2012. It is a list with covers of the 35 books that got 5 stars from me in 2012. Check it out, let me know if we like the same stuff!
I was so lucky to get to participate in the Cover Reveal for Fire Country by David Estes.
Reviewed my 2nd Netgalley book, Nexus by Ramez Naam.
